Director Laura Clark
It is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to the Miss United States family.
As the 2011 Ms. United States, I experienced the amazing journey of serving my community for over 16 months first as Ms. Virginia and then as the national queen. I traveled to the states of Nevada, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia on behalf of “Let’s Move” and other causes. I appeared in magazines, on television and radio, at major sporting events and national conferences. I walked the runway and emceed fashion events. Most importantly, I gained much more than a crown through the relationships developed and experiences shared.
Today, I am honored to guide aspiring state and national titleholders as the director of the Maryland, Delaware, District of Columbia, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania United States programs. My role is to provide women and girls with mentorship, sponsorship, leadership skills, and unique experiences that will impact their lives and careers. Each contestant is considered a member of the Miss United States Organization, whether she captures the crown or not. A welcoming, encouraging environment is always at the forefront of this organization.
Please do not hesitate to contact me as you consider joining the Miss United States Organization. It is a journey you and your family will always remember.
